Summary

Operationally responsible for the MPS, OPLAN, procurement planning, purchasing, inventory management & allocation, DRP activities related to Third Party Finished Goods.

Key point of contact for internal product management & liaise with external suppliers as well as cross functional teams within Baxter: Purchasing & supplier management, distribution, country logistics, country & supplier quality, regulatory affairs & marketing.

Communication with internal & external suppliers to procure products in line with regional objectives (service level, inventory targets, freight), ensure delivery of the products on-time & in full and organize country allocations.

Drive new product launch & conversions for the portfolio where applicable.

Accountable for optimizing inventory performance and accomplishing financial inventory targets for Third Party codes/suppliers. Minimize excess & obsolete inventory through product life cycle management.

Accountable for achieving fulfillment goals in conjunction with inventory goals, through distribution requirement planning and deployments for Third Party codes/suppliers.

What will you be doing?

Planning Validation

Being responsible for MPS, Procurement planning ,and DRP processes from demand signal to allocation of product per country across several regions (APAC, AMERICAS, EMEA).

Being accountable for service level targets and for the achievement of inventory performance targets for these supply chains.

Reacting with velocity to customer forecast and demand changes.

Demand Validation

Ensuring demand is in line with market trend, launch plans and LRP (long range plan) through supporting country/regional/global S&OP reviews.

Ensuring all items required for product lifecycle (Launch/End of Life) are forecasted in partnership with Demand Planning Team.

After OPLAN analysis, being able to clearly summarize gaps between demand vs supply and escalate to the correct level in organization, and lead actions to mitigate the risks.

MPS/Procurement Planning/OPLAN

Managing multiple international suppliers and supply chains.

Utilizing procurement master scheduling model to develop plan through Baxter Advanced Planning Tool (Rapid Response).

Developing procurement plan to meet country/regional/global demand based on global constraints if does it applies.

Being able to negotiate supply with suppliers shipping date plan to accomplish Baxter target inventories by country/Region.

Translating operational plan into financial inventory plan to feed region/global cash-flow planning and ensure achievement of plan.

Being main point of contact for process improvement related to Global Third-Party suppliers and system evolution across portfolio in order to achieve ideal target inventory, improvements in turns, cycle time (lean analytics).

Pipeline management

Utilizing Rapid Response tool/Alerts to control and analyze pipeline and being able to define solutions/recommendations to solve issues.

Driving initiative to reduce the inventory pipeline and increase turns performance of the portfolio.

Proactively communicating supply risk to project team together with proposed solutions.

Working with Market Fulfilment/SC Managers/Directors at countries in case of pipeline blockages to re-define priorities.

Ensuring that countries have clear visibility on supply versus their launch plan.

New product launch and acquisitions

Analyzing documentation of new supplier, flows and portfolio, and be able to provide feedback for that assessment to project lead.

Providing input in ideal network and flows for new product launch across several regions.

Participating in supplier and codes set up in Baxter systems. 

Collecting data of planning parameters and setting up in all systems.

Developing SIOP process with new suppliers to align demand & supply and guarantee supply continuity and KPI performance.

Who are we looking for?

An expert with at least 5 year’s relevant experience in Supply Chain positions focused on Supply/Demand and Production Planning Areas.

Fluent English speaker with very good knowledge of MS Office tools (especially excel).

A person with strong leadership skills and a team player having in-depth understanding of all aspects of the business including profitability, inventory turns and service levels.

Strong communicator across multiple levels of the organization able to develop rapport with other functional leaders inside Baxter and Supply base and do analysis of tradeoffs between business objectives - able to think systemically.

An individual who embraces change, challenges status quo and makes recommendations for improvements to products and processes and creates tools that help simplify job tasks and shares these with others.

An expert influencing the thinking of, or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations, supervising, coaching, developing others and driving results through team leadership and self.

In terms of education: BS in Supply Chain/Operations/Logistics/ or similar degree; MBA and APICS/Green or Black belt certification preferred.
