Job Title Global Operations Manager, 1st Shift (Plant 54, Dalton, GA) Position Overview Shaw Industries is seeking a Global Operations Manager for 1st shift in Dalton, GA. The position is responsible for managing and developing logistics, operations, and support functions essential to Shaw’s global business. Work cross functionally with other departments to support and implement growth strategies to identify and apply best practices and continuous improvements (such as Claims, Customer Service, Financial Services, Internal Audit, IS, Legal, and Marketing). Develop, implement, and monitor KPIs with specific focus on cost, efficiency, quality, and service. Provide logistics and data-driven insights to help make better business decisions that drive growth and profitability. Ensure records are maintained and in compliance with all governing regulatory export requirements. Work in a deadline-driven environment with the sales teams and clientele. Primary Responsibilities: + Direct, plan, and prioritize the daily operations of the Global Logistics team, identify initiatives, and deliver support that provides a positive customer experience and contributes to global growth. + Work with DVPs, RVPs, and AMs to create strategic plans and reviews. Prepare and complete action plans. + Build strategic optimization with our Canadian LTL and warehousing provider to ensure process accuracy, exceptional delivery service, and competitive freight rates. + Coordinate logistics flows, timing, and performance with both external vendors and Shaw distribution. + Develop, deploy, and maintain up-to-date export/import compliance policies, procedures, and documents. + Manage relationships and shipment processes with 3PL partners in Canada, Europe, and Hawaii. + Work directly with logistics providers in the design and modeling of transportation solutions for international business entities. + Act as a subject matter expert to Sales and Customer Service regarding full legal compliance related to exports and global shipments. + Work closely with Shaw Customs Compliance team to ensure all rules and regulations are appropriately adhered to. + Ensure compliance to corporate policies and regulations. Ensure best practices consistent with export laws and regulations. + Initiate all RFPs, manage bids, negotiate rates, and select vendors. + Coordinate and manage logistics and customer service projects related to the international business entities located in Europe, Asia, Canada, Latin America, Africa and Australia. + Manage the freight and duty standard cost for foreign entities and provide visibility to sales management. + Proactively identify potential export compliance risks and develop assessment corrective measures. Position Requirements: + 5 + years of relevant Global Logistics and Operations or equivalent business experience + Ability to build productive cross-functional relationships and interact directly with leadership and external parties + Experience with and understanding of US and Canadian LTL industries , for both rolled and palletized goods, including: carrier pricing & costing, transportation laws & regulations, and operational strategies + Demonstrated strategic thinking capabilities with a forward-looking perspective + Strategic and proactive approach to understanding customer needs + Ability to provide consultative support to business leaders + Excellent abilities in project management, relationship management, and change management + Experience understanding enterprise-wide customer needs and translating them into achievable goals + High work capacity with a commitment to urgency and results + Self-starter with exceptional organization , planning, and execution capabilities + Process-oriented and analytical thinker to seeks to constantly assess the current state of systems, act based on quantitative insights, and implement improvements + Strong communication and collaboration skills Prefer r ed Skills: + Understanding of project-based specified commercial sales and end user strategic accounts + Experience with a global sales organization + Experience with transportation modeling, global import/export logistics , and/or international transportation.
