What You'll Do
The Case Team Productivity Portfolio focuses on improving the working experience of the case team by addressing their major pain points and finding opportunities for optimization. The portfolio is prioritizing the use of Generative AI tools to enhance BCG's productivity.
The Product Owner must be a leader who is customer-centric and enjoys working with teams to design and deliver exceptional products to customers. Your squad will be responsible for developing and product managing internal GenAI productivity tool.
Among your responsibilities, you will:
Deliver business results and customer valueEnsure that the product is built in an incremental way, releasing new working features at the end of each quad through the development and continuous improvement of our user-facing application.Tracking product performance to inform future workDelivering on specific and measurable KPIs to be defined for your SquadContinuous market research to enhance perspectives on overall market and evolving AI/GenAI space.Serve as the voice of customer or end-userTranslating the voice and needs of customer into user stories, engaging users each sprintLeveraging empirical and qualitative data to assess feature performance and inform prioritizationProactively seeking customer feedback to learn and better understand their needs and requirementsOversee what is delivered by the Squad and whenPrioritizing work through a well-organized backlog of user stories and clearly communicating what needs to be done and by whenDefining and clearly communicating acceptance criteria for output based on business & customer needsSupport and enabling the Squad to get its work doneRegularly engaging with the Squad to offer feedback on work-in-progress and clarify requirementsEngaging with Chapter Leads regarding resourcing and functional expertise required in SquadProviding feedback as part of performance management of Squad members and other members of the Product PortfolioSet an overall vision to direct and inform the Squad’s workWorking closely with the Product Portfolio Lead to understand and drive alignment on the Product Portfolio’s business strategy, goals, and objectivesTranslating Product Portfolio objectives into a clear vision (e.g., via KPIs, sprint goals) for your Squad to inform the creation and prioritization of the Squad's backlog of workSharing information about the Squad’s output and priorities with other Product Owners to ensure alignment across the organizationEnable the organization’s new way of workingModelling behaviors to support the organization’s transformation to a new way of workingActively creating and maintaining a Squad culture based on the organization and Agile behaviorsProviding informal and formal feedback within context of larger performance management system

What You'll Bring
10-12+ years’ relevant experience as Product Owner, including preferably also experience as Scrum Master or Agile Coach/ Mentor in 1 or more organizationsExperience in delivering AI products, specifically with a focus on GenAI and Large Language Models (LLMs), and integrating these technologies with user-facing applications.Familiarity or experience with technologies and platforms like OpenAI’s GPT models, RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation), Fine tuning or other machine learning frameworks.Agile Certifications, preferably Scrum.org (Professional Scrum Product Owner) or Scrum Alliance (Certified Product Owner)Understanding of agile principles and ways of workingGood understanding of technology enabled business transformation, Digital transformation, Organizational transformation, delivering enterprise-level IT and Digital projectsDivergent thinker who can converge ideas into tangible productsExceptional communications and stakeholder management skillsExperience in consulting is a plusWho You'll Work With
