HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:
The Global Product Manager provides leadership and direction for Oregon Tool’s Concrete Cutting Business Segment which include the brands ICS, Merit and Pentruder. Key responsibilities include: developing product strategies; developing and implementing product line plans and policies; anticipating and responding to market needs; generating and implementing new product ideas; prioritizing and driving projects and resources and removing barriers to ensure product line success. This role acts as primary champion for product line within the organization and continuously seeks to improve the product line and customer experience.
THE DETAILS:
Develop and implement plans, policies and targets Establish product line direction and anticipate market needs Develop and implement product line plans, with goals, objectives and strategies consistent with division strategic plan and objectives to ensure long-term success of the product lines Recommend and monitor pricing, set product line offering, establish safety stocks, lot sizes, etc. Propose programs, activities, processes and product development/upgrades to meet or exceed customer expectations Establish and monitor budgets and targets for margins, inventory levels, and capital equipment investment to ensure product line profitability Take prompt and decisive corrective action where gaps exist to ensure product line success Product line support Use competitive product evaluation, market intelligence, production rates, capacity, forecasting, advertising, and packaging toward never-ending internal process improvement Establish incremental and day-to-day product line operational priorities Set project priorities to ensure resources are applied to most important projects Coordinate between cross functional departments Customer service support Monitor and regulate customer service levels through internal systems and vendors to ensure improved deliveries and schedules resulting in increased customer service; take prompt and decisive action where gaps exist Participate in developing vendor agreements, zone sales promotions, appropriation requests, long range planning process, OEM contracts, and worldwide pricing relationships Project Manage Key Projects Hold team accountable for process implementation, goals and objectives and ensure continuous company communications on progress, issues, and solutions Responsible for effective change management Keep up to date with advances in continuous improvement and marketing best practices Manage projects throughout entire Product Development Process
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering or related area; MBA preferred Minimum 4-7 years of experience in a similar position managing a multi-faceted product line or marketing/sales role(s) Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time (domestic and international) Must be comfortable and knowledgeable working on a commercial construction jobsite Experienced in a multi-national or global environment Excellent verbal and written communication, including strong presentation and business writing skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms Strong organizational skills: ability to make priorities and balance work based on many variables Ability to handle many diverse projects and issues Collaborative and effective team player and able to work with teams who are globally dispersed Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and data management software (SAP preferred)

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Oregon Tool, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100,000 to $130,000.
