Global R&D Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating projects implemented in multiple locations, ensuring they align with the overall strategic goals. You will act as the main point of contact for local teams, also ensuring effective communication and coordination across division functions.This role is open globally, but location is set in ABB offices in Finland (Helsinki), Germany (Manheim), India (Bangalore) or China (Beijing).The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybridYou will be accountable for:Defining a common vision, high level requirements and roadmap for a unified solution consisting existing tools and NPD projects in multiple locations, together with product management and other relevant stakeholders.Coordinating and oversee projects implemented in multiple locations to ensure they are aligned to higher level target in terms of scope, timing and functionality.Monitoring program progress and performance, identifying and mitigating risks.Facilitating collaboration among local teams to ensure seamless integration of their tools.Leading and mentoring project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Communicating program status, updates, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.Managing a global role, overseeing and integrating efforts from teams in different regions.

Qualifications for the role

Master's or higher degree in Technology domain.10+ years of experience in Project or Program Management with at least 5 years of experience in mana-gerial positions.Deep technical expertise on drives, PLCs and related tools.Proficiency in project management software and tools.Excellent leadership and influencing skills in leading a cross-countries team.Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Willingness to travel (high frequency).
