HVACR Global Application Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

The Data Center Application Engineer works closely with the Data Center Business Development Manager, providing subject matter expertise of VSDs and how they are applied to the applications within a data center.This position will include a training period (3-6 months) based out of the ABB VFD factory in New Berlin, WI - USA, after which would be located in the Singapore area. This position reports to the HVACR Global Application Engineering ManagerYour Responsibilities:•\tAssist HVACR distributors with technical/application opportunities•\tAssist the Sales Team with technical sales support•\tCreate application based VFD Technical Notes (white papers) •\tCreate presentation content related to HVACR VFDs and applications•\tModify existing Technical Notes and presentations to be applicable to the APAC market•\tPresent webinars to a global audience•\tPerform in-person local, regional, and national presentations to engineers and end users•\tPerform harmonic calculations using existing simulation tools•\tIdentify APAC market requirements and specify needs to Product Management•\tSupport R&D on various projects, such as new feature development•\tAttend and participate in sales meetings, product seminars and trade shows•\tBe well informed about current industry trends and being able to talk intelligently about the Data Center industry and various go-to-market strategies for HVACR VFDs

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is preferred At least 5 years in Sales or Marketing or Product Management or Engineering or Service of VFDs or HVACR equipment (Pumps, Fans, Air handlers, Chillers, etc) or involvement in the Data Center industry/Segment.
