SUMMARY:
This position will play a critical role in globally driving the Global Maintenance Excellence Strategy and Maintenance Excellence Element of McCain’s continuous improvement program, MDI. This position shall develop and own various maintenance excellence management systems, ultimately working to improve uptime, OEE and cost competitiveness.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Global owner of Condition Based Maintenance Strategy. Responsible for leading the development and deployment of the global playbook in conjugation with digital manufacturing team and regional maintenance leaders.Global owner of McCain’s Breakdown Elimination Program, includes standardizing and deploying root cause analysis training and practices. Reliability Innovation Leader. Work to identify, trial, approve and globally communicate available upgrades or designs that improve reliability. Collaborate with global engineering groups to incorporate into engineering standards.Collaborate with procurement and OEMs to improve equipment reliability through the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Process.Collaborate with Learning & Development team to build reliability-oriented training programs that support and sustain existing maintenance excellence standards.Participate in safety investigations as needed.Travel to regions/sites to support any critical and urgent project/effort.Support the development of standard maintenance plans at McCain.

Education:

Tertiary qualification in field of engineering or equivalent experience.

Proven capability to develop and maintain strong collaborative business relationships across global and regional functionsAbility to influence effective decision-making with cross-functional teamsHighly developed interpersonal skills with diversity and inclusion sensitivityExcellent communication skills to effectively and persuasively articulate positions (electronically and verbally) to various audiences and at all levels of the businessAbility to effectively delegate tasks and measure progress across multiple prioritiesAbility to work independently and within teams on both strategy and tactical projects with minimal supervision.Program management skills: identification and management of stakeholders, milestone development and tracking of progress, resource management, risk mitigation, detailed action planning, and basic familiarity with change management.

General business insight and the ability to manage complexity within the manufacturing landscapeAbility to propose, evaluate and motivate projects from a technical and financial perspectiveAbility to interact at various levels within the global and regional integrated supply chainAbility to interface x-functionally with other functions (e.g., Procurement, Finance, Engineering, etc.)

 

Required Length & Type of Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, preferably in maintenance or data systems related role Detailed understanding of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing programsProven track record in plant maintenance managementProven track record to drive results through influencing, persuading and collaborationExperience using and managing condition based maintenance tools such as vibration, ultrasonic and thermal imaging.


Travel:

Willingness to travel internationally/regionally up to 40% of available timeFlexibility to work across multiple time zones
