**What we’re looking for**
The primary responsibilities of this role will include 1) the review and timely submission of quarterly IFRS and Japan GAAP reporting packages to TMC and TFSC working alongside the Global Reporting Manager 2) lead and support financial reporting projects and external audit 3) support reviews and compilation of SEC documents and annual TFSIC financial statements 4) ensure accuracy and strength of internal controls over Global Financial Reporting. This individual will also be expected to assist with resolving issues in an independent and objective manner.
Reporting to the National Manager - Financial Reporting, the person in this role will support the Accounting and Finance department’s objective to achieve timely and accurate reporting to our shareholders and customers.
**What you’ll be doing**
• Review Japan (CONETS) package quarterly for TMCC, TFSIC and TFSS USA under both IFRS and JGAAP
• Lead and support financial reporting projects
• Support reviews and compilation of SEC documents & annual TFSIC financial statements
• Develop and communicate to various accounting groups the Japan reporting CONETS schedule and requirements. Coordinate CONETS needs with each accounting group, Japan staff, and Japanese parent company (TFSC) to ensure that reporting requirements and deadlines are met.
• Support quarterly reviews and audits performed by both external and internal auditors.
• Continuously look for opportunities to strengthen and/ or streamline existing accounting policies, procedures and processes. Recommend process improvements as appropriate.
**What you bring**
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 7+ years of relevant work experience (in similar field and/or industry)
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word and demonstrated talent for using technical tools in account analyses and research
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
• Strong analytical skills
• Financial reporting experience
**Added bonus if you have**
• CPA preferred
• Knowledge of IFRS
• Public accounting experience
• CONETS, SAP, and Hyperion Knowledge
