Global Sales Director
Job Description A client in Hayward, CA is looking for a Global Sales Director to join their West Coast business development team. The team will consist of two other business development personnel, and this person will be reporting into the District Director. On a daily basis, this individual will identify global business opportunities and generate profitable sales in new accounts; develop and implement sales plans that support increased sales, while also developing business strategies to maximize margins and increase revenue growth; and partner with new clients to devise solution-based strategies for company growth. The ideal candidate will have experience with developing strong business relationships and will have demonstrated sales knowledge and success of sales concepts, methods and techniques. He/She will be responsible for identifying future leads and clients, contacting prospective leads, and entertaining existing and potential clients. This role will require 1 day per week onsite and will have a salary of $97,296-$168,647. Skills and Requirements 4+ Years of experience in business development, specifically in the logistics or freight-forward industry Demonstrative experience in consultative B2B, solution-based sales role with demonstrated track record generating revenue and meeting sales targets Proven history of sales success identifying and developing new business opportunities Strong understanding of logistics business beyond core functional expertise and in-depth knowledge of products and services Strong working knowledge of domestic and international regulatory compliance laws and regulations related to the supply chain and transportation industry Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
