Global Scripted Television Development Intern – Spring 2025
Our Emerging Talent Programs, which includes Interns, Trainees, and Finance Rotational Associates, offer unique opportunities for students, recent graduates, and emerging talent to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. These seasonal, paid assignments provide meaningful and productive work that allows you to build on your experience and develop your skills further. You will be provided with challenging tasks, real-world experience, and many educational and social networking opportunities. This Spring Internship is from January through May 30th (start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules) and all candidates must be able to work part-time hours (10-29 a week). Our offices are open Monday through Friday, 9-6 pm. This position is ideal for a student enrolled in an accredited college or university. A hybrid work structure may or may not be available. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: The Global Development & Programming department works as the bridge between Sony’s domestic and international TV arms, assisting in developing and selling upcoming global television shows produced by the studios while also maintaining an internal slate. RESPONSIBILITIES: + Assisting department with day-to-day functions and material organization - updating and creating grids, note taking on calls and meetings, scheduling meetings with key partners and producers, etc. + Reading and providing feedback on incoming and existing material. + Sitting in on meetings and discussions about projects. QUALIFICATIONS: + Highly organized, resourceful, and dependable with excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills. + Passion for television and focus on development for scripted programming on a global scale. + Interest in the entertainment industry both domestically and internationally. Bonus points if familiar with international content. + Good eye for creative storytelling. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
