Global Strategic Capability Lead
We are seeking a Global Strategic Capability Lead, Global Risk Capital, to work closely with functional and geographical business leaders and cross functional teams to deliver on operational goals within Risk Capital. What the day will look like Support the development and execution of global strategies, including defining the current market landscape, Aon’s competitive edge, and emerging trends, completing gap analyses, process mapping, and requirement definition. Organize organic and inorganic investments to support Aon’s strategic goals into a prioritized multi-year roadmap. Establish program governance, tracking and reporting on progress, as well as supporting other execution activities. The role will be part of a lean global team and will collaborate with regional, industry, and functional Subject Matter Authorities. Responsible for supporting the COO to identify strategic priorities, align teams and drive progress against the execution plan, and manage governance. Coordinate cross-functional teams to develop and document strategies, assumptions, dependencies, and plans to resolve business challenges. Lead and complete sophisticated analyses, roadmap prioritization, process mapping, and operating model design. Develop implementation plan, identify potential challenges, document key considerations, and draft recommendations Leverage understanding of the business and operations to proactively mitigate risks and handle dependencies. Monitor industry trends and attend conferences to build domain expertise. Create and drive business cases for key investments that will enable Risk Capital to meet or exceed expectations. Identify and proactively engage collaborators to ensure consensus to proposed strategy and effectively manage change. Lead the development, execution, adoption, and continuous improvement of standards, methods, tools, and best practices that are aligned with growth objectives. Maintain management reporting and innovate new methodologies including through digital tools. Mentor and accelerate the development of junior colleagues. Skills and experience that will lead to success. 5 or more years of work experience in an operations, change management, or continuous improvement role. Deep understanding of P&C insurance including industry practices, competitors, and current trends Experience managing multiple projects and programs to drive change. Validated experience in applying well-developed problem-solving skills (quantitative, conceptual, analytical) Exceptional analytical and communication skills to influence change. Demonstrated leadership ability in a team environment. Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across assignments and delegate appropriately. Ability to identify opportunities for growth and subsequently take a leadership role in exploring innovative ideas Strong work ethic, open-mindedness, and willingness to challenge conceptions. Good organizational awareness Focused on achieving goals and able to work without constant supervision, Ability to influence across and within multi-functional teams and matrix organizations. Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $140,000 to $160,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
