We are seeking a Global Supply Chain and Logistics Manager to lead our strategic sourcing and procurement organization to ensure strategies, best practices, and common tools are deployed globally to meet QDCI objectives.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee and direct all aspects of strategic sourcing to deliver OMX and maintain a high-performance supply base while ensuring effective alignment between strategic and tactical procurement across three manufacturing sites in North America and Europe. Build a strong and high impact organization by implementing a compelling talent strategy; accelerating the development of diverse and promotable employees; setting high expectations and holding teams accountable; providing consistent and direct feedback. Champion continuous improvement (Fortive Business System (FBS), Lean Supply Chain Management) in every interaction to drive consistent advancements in processes and QDCI outcomes. Cultivate a team and culture that demonstrates grit and resilience to meet commitments despite roadblocks, values inclusion and diversity in all forms, and demonstrates integrity and courage. Conduct market analysis to assess environmental conditions to determine a “buy best” approach evaluating value beyond price (e.g. Innovation, Growth, Life-Cycle Costs, Working Capital, and Capex) while ensuring material continuity and minimizing supply risk management objectives. Oversee the management and monitoring of procurement reporting systems to meet company requirements. Deliver sustainable, year-over-year cost savings of 5 to 8% and inventory turns improvement of 1 turn per year. Develop agreements to ensure contractual coverage over large spend categories. Oversee all contracts, bids, proposals, and supplier agreements for legal correctness, regulatory compliance, price, and acceptability of items to specifications. Develop Sourcing strategies and plans in collaboration with other Fortive operating companies to best leverage spend and supplier value. Enforce corporation policies regarding the ethical conduct of purchasing activities. Conduct business reviews with key suppliers to discuss performance, development, and growth opportunities.  Execute workshops to optimize logistics and the cost of it across a global organization. Responsible for the implementation and management of the Integrated Production, Sales and Inventory (PSI) process (also known as S&OP). Savings across levers of PPV; VAVE; Indirect; Logistics; NPI; OMX Improvement of Working Capital: DPO; Inventory turns; Stockout/OTD/Lead Time Improvements Corporate Social Responsibility: Risk Mgt; Supplier Audits; Supplier Diversity improvement Talent Development & Bench

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education:  Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of experience, Masters degree with 10+ years of experience; experience includes 10+ years managing people Experience:  must include 7+ years lean experience in a global operation.   Experience utilizing critical thinking, moving strategy to action and leading in a global environment Experience Driving Innovation and Growth Listens and responds to customer needs Cultivates and enables breakthrough thinking to drive growth Encourages balanced risk taking to advance innovation Experience in Championing Continuous Improvement - Solving problems and delivering for results Extensive experience Building People, Teams and Organizations Relentlessly attracts, engages and develops people Builds strong effective and diverse organizations Creates followership through collaboration Acting with Integrity Consistently uses sound judgment Operates with transparency and is trusted Demonstrates humility and self-awareness Demonstrates proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

 

Location: Spartanburg, SC or Fultonville, New York.

This role may require up to 50% Travel
