The Global Supply Chain Manager plays a vital role in developing and executing global sourcing strategies for a portfolio of critical parts and engineering services spend. This role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership, and the ability to manage complex projects across multiple teams and suppliers.
This high-visibility role will initially focus on a special project—building global supply chain capabilities and unlocking financial value by 2025. This project partners with a world-class third party and offers significant internal networking opportunities. The successful candidate will be a catalyst for broader supply chain transformation, acting as a role model and trendsetter. This requires resilience, strong business acumen, and a "play-to-win" attitude. Post-project, skills will be applied across multiple Ford buying teams.
You'll have...
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or Operations Management. Master's degree preferred. 5-8 years of experience in supply chain management Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chains.Even better, you may have...

What you'll do...
Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for assigned commodities, encompassing RFQs, cost analytics, negotiations, and contract execution. Manage the cost, quality, and delivery of commodities across multiple programs. Lead cross-functional collaboration to understand requirements and provide comprehensive sourcing solutions. Develop and implement advanced cost tools and methodologies. Manage complex supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery, issue resolution, and risk mitigation. Monitor market trends, industry developments, and material indices to identify cost savings and product improvements. Develop and negotiate creative commercial agreements. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards. Onboard new suppliers and manage supplier performance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain. Develop and manage budgets and resources.
