What You'll Do:
As a Global Supply Planning Manager for our Lubrizol Advanced Materials segment, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, providing leadership and guidance to a team of global supply planners and overseeing the supply planning (capacity and inventory) to meet the business needs in a 3-to-24-month horizon. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life. Your work will directly impact the team to address capacity constraints, develop supply risk mitigations plans, and coordinate the responses from the various supply regions.
What We're Looking For:
Manage and lead a team of global supply planners, providing guidance, training, and support of capacity planning and inventory management in a 3-to-24-month horizon. Develop and maintain supply plans by asset class, aligns with demand forecasts, and support service levels to deliver product on time. Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand market trends, customer demand, and production capabilities. Lead and develop the global supply planners to foster strong collaboration with internal teams, with capacity planning, constraint management, what/if analysis, and inventory goals to ensure seamless communication and alignment. Oversight, development, and maintain inventory policies to ensure optimal levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory. Build and help to standardize business reporting for strategic analysis and internal business reviews centered around the Sales and Operations Planning process linked to the Integrated Business Planning process. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve performance of the global supply planner function. Lead and mentor a team of global supply planners, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities. Supervises the day-to-day activities of the global supply planners. Prepare goals and objectives for direct reports and conduct “one on one” sessions to track progress of current projects during the year. Write and perform annual performance reviews.
Skills That Make a Difference:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus. CPIM and/or CSCP certification is a plus Minimum 5 years of experience in global supply planning, capacity planning and optimization, and inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment. 3+ years of supervisory or managerial experience a plus. In-depth knowledge of production processes, capacity planning, and inventory management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills for team management and collaboration. Ability to establish priorities, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing demands. A strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Background or experience with Sales and Operations Planning is a plus Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
