Your role and responsibilitiesAre you passionate about trade program management? Join us as a Global Trade Program Manager, where you will play a key role in supporting the four ABB Business Areas to enhance their common compliance standards, global trade processes and operational effectiveness in utilizing trade related opportunities.In this role, your primary focus will be on further developing and rolling out the pillars of the ABB Trade program, aiming to enhance our aggregate capabilities in the domain of sanctions, export control and customs compliance. Whilst leading a small team of experts, you will develop methodologies that drive the sustainable implementation of policies and procedures, ensure effective communication and training, and serve as project coordinator and project lead for the development of other tools, instruments, metrics and controls that are to be implemented across the organization. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tABB Global Trade Program & BA Trade Management: Coordinating activities related to the ABB Global Trade Program and workstreams, incl. facilitating alignment with and among Business Area Trade Managers and other stakeholders in the Trade domain at ABB, coordinate joint or common initiatives.•\tTrade Governance Council: Leading the Trade Governance Council, enabling efficient decision making and ensuring effective monitoring of internal and external developments.•\tCenter of Expertise (CoE): Managing the CoE Global Trade, i.e. lead the team, define annual action plans, budget preparation and project management (common areas of the ABB Business Areas).•\tTrade Community development: Driving the collaboration and exchange of best-practices among Country Trade Compliance Officers, assuring their role- and competency development and effective onboarding, serving as point of contact for Trade Compliance Officers globally for questions related to the Global Trade Program.•\tPolicies, communication & training: Enabling constructive and efficient alignment among key stakeholders in the business on policies, procedures and instructions as proposed by ABB corporate organization. Ensuring effective communication- and training in Trade across the ABB Business.•\tTrade automation, reporting & KPIs: Supporting the development of system-based solutions and the automation of critical control elements of the Global Trade Program. Enhancing ABBs capabilities in trade related reporting, KPI- & dashboard development.We are looking for a Global Trade Program Manager that will lead with vision and has a strong intrinsic motivation. You are pragmatic, hands-on, structured and driven to facilitate effective collaboration and joint decision making within the framework of the trade governance set up in ABB. You love being the spider in the web and enjoy working with stakeholders in the business as well as with practitioners across the ABB Global Trade community. With a proactive approach, you will ensure trade compliance not only protects the organization but also drives and accelerates business growth.You enjoy driving change in a complex business environment, developing best-in-class trade compliance practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and facilitating access of business to expert guidance.You are a great communicator, and you are able to motivate people to get the best out of themselves. This role will report to the Electrification Business Area Trade Manager.The ideal candidate is based in Europe. Business travel may be required occasionally (max up to 20%). Qualifications for the role\t8-10 years of overall work experience. Preferred areas of experience include business- and end-to-end supply chain processes, program- and project management, risk management and internal controls in a complex business environment\tUniversity degree in International Trade / Trade Compliance, Supply Chain / Logistics, Engineering, or a related discipline. Good knowledge of export control, sanctions and customs rules\tUnderstanding of the operational functioning of Global Trade applications (in particular SAP ECC6 and SAP GTS) and other and trade automation tools.\tSufficient seniority to effectively operate across all levels of the local and global business, incl. senior management.\tBusiness mind-set, excellent relationship-building skills, ability to coordinate, influence and lead without authority and able to in a concise, structured and disciplined manner.\tTeam player with good communication skills, well-capable of communicating in English. Additional language skills are appreciated.
