Who You Are: 
The Coordinator of Collection Global Visual Merchandising plays a pivotal role in supporting Michael Kors Collection's retail and wholesale locations across North America. This position aims to enhance the visual presentation of our brand by ensuring compliance with our high standards of visual merchandising. The Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Visual Merchandising Manager to deliver compelling showroom presentations and optimal in-store experiences, ensuring alignment with global strategies and seasonal themes.

What You’ll Do:


Showroom Management: 

Assist in the strategic planning and execution of showroom activations around Fashion Week and key market setups by collaborating with the Visual Merchandising Manager. Oversee all aspects of showroom photography, including management and archiving of visuals to maintain a comprehensive visual asset library.

North America Retail and Wholesale Support: 

Adapt and implement the global visual strategy to align with North America Collection wholesale and retail channels, ensuring a tailored approach that resonates with local markets. Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising Manager to develop innovative visual training tools, facilitating team knowledge and best practices across all locations. Contribute to the evolution of MKC house codes and seasonal guidelines in partnership with the Visual Merchandising Manager, ensuring consistency and brand integrity. Execute MKC seasonal presentations in alignment with established merchandising guidelines across all North America Collection points of sale, promoting an elevated and cohesive presentation that reflects seasonal messaging. Work closely with the production, design, and Visual Merchandising Manager to create impactful window displays and in-store seasonal installations. Conduct seasonal visual merchandising training sessions post-floorset, equipping staff with insights and skills to maintain premier presentation standards. Create and maintain presentation decks for the North America market to share insights and updates with the Visual Merchandising Manager. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current products and their stock availability, leveraging this information to optimize product placement and maximize sales. Foster continuous communication with North America wholesale and retail partners, including account executives and retail buyers, to ensure alignment on shipping and departmental strategies.

Event Management: 

Develop and maintain an event calendar that is shared with the Visual Merchandising Manager, ensuring visibility on upcoming initiatives. Provide support for the planning and execution of special events, including Michael Kors VIP events, pop-ups, and trunk shows, working collaboratively to ensure seamless delivery. Collaborate effectively with the Visual Merchandising Manager and in-store partners to execute events that enhance customer engagement and brand presence.

Additional Responsibilities: 

Conduct regular competitive shopping trips to assess visual merchandising standards in the luxury market, ensuring our presentations are contemporary and competitive. Stay abreast of the latest fashion trends and developments in luxury visual merchandising to inform strategic decisions and inspire innovative presentations.Collaborate closely with the Visual Merchandising design team and the Visual Merchandising Manager to conceptualize and develop innovative visual merchandising tools and resources as needed, ensuring that all initiatives align with the overarching brand vision and standards.

You’ll Need to Have

2+ years of experience in visual merchandising, preferably within luxury retail. Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles and trends, particularly within the luxury segment. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for teamwork and collaboration. Proficiency in visual presentation tools and software.
