Global VP, Business Operations
Global VP, Business Operations Job ID 202416 Posted 17-Jan-2025 Service line Corporate Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Administrative, Executive Management Location(s) Atlanta - Georgia - United States of America, Chicago - Illinois - United States of America, Dallas - Texas - United States of America, New York City - New York - United States of America, Washington, D.C. - District of Columbia - United States of America **About the Role:** Do you have an affection and respect for the built world around you? The data centers and logistics centers that make our economy tick, the research centers where science moves forward, the offices where you get your greatest work done. For many of those spaces, there’s a company behind them: CBRE. And we mean from the smile when you walk in the door, to the complex electrical systems deep underground. We run more buildings than anyone else on earth, and we are going to spend the coming years pushing the envelope of what it means to run all of these with operational excellence and an eye to the human experience within. We are looking for a Global Vice President of Business Operations who will be a central figure in this journey, responsible for honing the strategic vision and operational excellence for CBRE’s Business Operations & Experience (BOE) Segment. This role requires a businessperson, an operator, an extraordinary critical thinker. We’re going to be looking for patterns across the globe that no one has surfaced before. Additionally, the VP will serve as something like a Chief of Staff to the CEO of BOE, allowing him to be in two places at once. That might involve some scrappy stuff in addition to decisions and impact at an almost inconceivable scale. For the right person, it could be a career-making role. **What You’ll Do:** + **Shape the future:** Collaborate with the CEO to hone the strategic vision for CBRE's Business Operations & Experience segment, leaving your mark on the future of how we work and operate. + Be the right hand: Act as a trusted advisor and Chief of Staff to the CEO, enabling him to maximize his impact and be in two places at once (figuratively, of course!). + **Unlock global potential:** Identify hidden patterns and opportunities across our global operations, surfacing insights that drive operational excellence on an unprecedented scale. + **Drive operational excellence:** Oversee daily operations, optimizing processes and systems to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across our various business lines. + **Steward resources wisely** : Manage budgets, resources, and timelines with a keen eye, ensuring we achieve operational goals while maximizing value. + **Champion collaboration and build trust:** Foster a culture of collaboration across departments and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on strategic initiatives and a shared vision for success. You’re going to be in a new role in a new segment, so you have to engender deep trust, fast. + **Embrace data-driven decisions:** Leverage data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions, drive continuous improvement, and achieve exceptional results. + **Communicate with influence:** Develop and execute communication strategies that clearly articulate the strategic vision and persuade stakeholders at all levels. **What You’ll Need:** + 7+ years of experience in strategic planning, operations management, or a related role. If you’ve done both consulting and operating, that would be ideal. But that’s a narrow combo. Someone with the skills of an operator and a consultant is the key. + The ability to lead teams through example, through influence, through an ultra-high EQ. + Extremely sharp critical thinking and issue spotting. Think the annoying student at the front of the class who raises their hand too much. + Crisp, clear, memorable communication. + Ability to not just handle change, but to embrace it. It’s going to be a thrilling ride, but we’re trying to do something that hasn’t been done before, so you have to be excited about that kind of endeavor. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future **Why CBRE?** When you join CBRE you will have the support and resources of a global firm where an entrepreneurial mentality is encouraged.
