The General Manager Industrial, ensures that the organization remains true to the established purpose, vision, and strategic direction for the business. The General Manager is responsible for building and developing a world-class team with capabilities and capacity aligned to the strategy while creating a working environment for those team members to thrive on a day-to-day basis. With strong knowledge of the external market and connection to our customers, the General Manager ensures that our work processes, tools, and collaboration align to add to our customer value proposition. The General Manager needs to be a strong partner with Sales, Products & Technologies, Global Projects, Integrated Services, Chemical Solutions & Monitoring, Finance, HR, Procurement, Supply Chain, and other teams in the Water Tech Zone.
The General Manager of Industrial Projects for North America is responsible for leading Veolia's water and wastewater solutions across diverse industrial sectors, including Power, HPI, CPI, and upstream Oil and Gas. This role oversees the development and execution of projects from initial bid through to completion of performance testing and warranty. The General Manager ensures alignment with Veolia's GreenUp strategy and commitment to ecological transformation while driving business growth across these key industrial sectors. This position is accountable for multi-faceted business results, focusing on enhancing Veolia's reputation and market share in the industrial market. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of various industrial ecosystems and strong existing relationships with key customers across sectors. The General Manager is responsible for building and developing a versatile, world-class team capable of delivering tailored solutions for diverse industrial applications.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive 3-5 year strategy focused on water and wastewater solutions for the diverse industrial market.Leverage Veolia’s Industrial portfolio to grow the installation footprint in North America and recognize environmental gains in decarbonization and de-pollution.Lead a team of professionals across North America, fostering a positive work environment focused on safety, diversity, and long-term employee retention.Create and deliver on balanced KPIs measuring overall business health, including customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and financial results for the industrial P&L.Develop and expand Veolia's integrated offering for industrial clients, emphasizing tailored solutions for each sector (Power, HPI, CPI, and upstream Oil and Gas).Strengthen and grow the services portfolio, addressing the unique needs of each industrial sector.Enhance capabilities in designing and implementing complete water and wastewater treatment systems for various industrial applications.Build and grow the industrial water management business, positioning Veolia as a leading solutions provider across multiple sectors.Collaborate with the Water Tech Zone to leverage innovative technologies addressing specific industrial market needs.Establish and maintain strong relationships with key industrial customers and external stakeholders across all relevant sectors.Communicate effectively across the business while advocating for the NAM Industrial Projects team.Structure the organization to reflect the long-term industrial market strategy and key objectives, ensuring flexibility to serve multiple sectors and setting the business up for achieving sustainable profit.Demonstrate Veolia values in every interaction, acting as a coach, mentor, and sponsor for employees.QualificationsEducation & Experience Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical field.Ten (10) years' experience in the water industry, with at least eight (3) years specifically in industrial applications across multiple sectors.Minimum three (3) years' experience in P&L or equivalent in scope leadership roles.Preferred:
Advanced degree in Engineering or Business Administration.Experience with both water treatment and wastewater management across multiple industrial sectors.Proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships with key players in various industrial sectors.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent project management and team leadership skills in a multi-sector environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to address diverse industrial challenges.In-depth knowledge of water and wastewater treatment technologies specific to Power, HPI, CPI, and upstream Oil and Gas industries.Expertise in designing and implementing tailored water and wastewater solutions for various industrial applications.Understanding of service-oriented business models in the industrial water treatment industry.Familiarity with advanced treatment technologies applicable to multiple industrial sectors.Key Characteristics:
