The opportunity
Working in a team environment, the senior Consultant- SAM is responsible for managing customer’s licenses. The Associate Consultant will assist customers in understanding and controlling their software licensing entitlement, avoiding legal pitfalls related to licensing by leveraging industry best practices while expanding host company licensing opportunities and building more profitable, long term relationships with our customers.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities for the Role
Extensive experience (5+ years) in software asset management, license compliance, or vendor management, with a focus on Oracle DB, Middleware Fusion & Java software licensing. Focus on EBS, Hyperion, Java, Other oracle bundled application products & Cloud software licensing. Conduct thorough analysis of Oracle software entitlements to ensure accuracy and completeness. Validate license entitlements against contractual agreements, amendments, purchase records, and deployment data. In-depth knowledge of Oracle software products, licensing models, and contractual agreements. Experience in project management, process improvement, or IT governance is desirable. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment. Applying and advising on complex Oracle software licensing topics. Producing On-premises, Cloud based ELPs for Oracle software. Understanding Oracle licensing concepts in virtualization i.e., VMWare, Hyper-V, LPAR and product use rights. Navigating capped and uncapped measurement systems in AIX platform systems Providing Cost Analysis based on the deployments identified.
Skills Required:
5+ years professional experience in licensing industry with successful ITAM/SAM Management/ software licensing experience across publishers is a must. Familiarity of different publisher licensing models. Understanding of licensing scenarios, benefits, optimization opportunities, conceptual knowledge on use rights of BYOL concept. SAM Accreditation (good to have). Advanced Excel and data analytics skills. Previous exposure to asset management software; preferably with specific experience in ServiceNow and SAM.
