Job Description

This Guidance Navigation and Controls (GNC) Analyst will support the development of the Orion Spacecraft. Orion is NASA's spacecraft designed to take humans deep into space. It boasts advanced technologies for life support, navigation, communications, radiation shielding, and features the world's largest heat shield to protect astronauts and ensure their safe return home. As the prime contractor, we are currently in the production phase with a finalized contract for six Orion spacecraft missions, with the potential to order up to twelve in total. The first spacecraft under this contract, Artemis III, will carry the first woman and the next man to the surface of the Moon. Orion is a critical component of NASA's Artemis program, aimed at establishing a sustainable presence on the lunar surface and preparing for future missions to Mars.

ResponsibilitiesSupport the development of the Orion Spacecraft.Perform GNC analysis and controls.Utilize Matlab and Simulink for systems engineering tasks.Contribute to the success of the Artemis program by ensuring the spacecraft's readiness for deep space missions.Essential SkillsProficiency in Matlab and Simulink.Experience in GNC analysis.Knowledge of controls and systems engineering.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in controls and systems engineering.Work Environment

The position offers flexibility to work remotely or on-site at the Houston or Denver facility. The work environment supports the development of groundbreaking space exploration technology, providing an opportunity to play a key role in history-making missions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $90.00/hr.
