Fixed Income & Liquidity Solutions Overview

Fixed Income and Liquidity Solutions, within Public Investing, manages more than $1.7 trillion* in assets for a variety of clients, including private wealth mandates and institutional clients such as insurance companies, pension funds, and endowments. The team has a long history of investing across public fixed income strategies including rates, currency and credit on behalf of our clients. Investment ideas are created through collaboration between portfolio managers, research analysts, and traders.

Role Overview

The Global Multi-Sector Fixed Income team is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join its Client Portfolio Management team, specializing in multi-sector fixed income strategies. This individual will act as a strategic partner to clients, aligning their unique objectives with tailored investment solutions across a broad range of fixed income sectors and products. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in portfolio construction, risk management, global macroeconomics, and sustainability integration, combined with exceptional communication skills and commercial acumen.

This high-impact role involves designing customized portfolio solutions, contributing to investment process improvements, and representing the fixed income platform in client engagements, including new business acquisition, and industry events. It requires a blend of commercial acumen, exceptional knowledge of fixed income markets, strong analytical capabilities, and outstanding communication skills to articulate investment strategies, manage processes, and drive commercial growth.

 

Responsibilities

Client Engagement and Delivering Custom Solutions:

Serve as a primary client-facing representative for global multi-sector fixed income strategies, ensuring investment portfolio alignment with client-specific objectives and mandates.Act as a key representative during ongoing client reviews, providing performance and positioning insights, addressing feedback, and identifying opportunities to evolve portfolio allocations.Design customized investment solutions incorporating macro strategies, credit risk, and sustainability considerations.Lead new client and mandate acquisitions to grow assets under management, including leading finals presentations, collaborating closely with client coverage teams to articulate strategy differentiation and investment process capabilities.Adapt communication to client needs, distilling complex investment topics into clear, actionable insights tailored to varying levels of expertise.

Portfolio Oversight and Risk Management:

Collaborate with investment teams to design and implement multi-sector fixed income portfolios.Leverage a deep understanding of risk budgeting and oversight to construct bespoke client solutions, balancing macro and spread risks to align with benchmarks and client investment goal expectations.Analyze portfolio performance, linking attribution analysis to macro, sector, and issuer-specific decisions to provide transparency to clients.Provide feedback to refine and improve the investment process, ensuring alignment with evolving client goals and market dynamics.

Thought Leadership and Market Engagement:

Represent the firm at industry conferences and events, sharing insights on fixed income markets, macroeconomic trends, and investment strategies.Contribute to the creation of thought leadership content, addressing market structure, sustainability, and innovative investment approaches.

Collaboration and Leadership:

Partner with sales and investment teams to ensure a cohesive approach to client relationship management and new business opportunities.Oversee the production of accurate and timely client reporting, as well as managing ad hoc client requests across the full client engagement lifecycle.Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and development.

 

Qualifications

Required Skills / Experience:

Desired Skills / Experience: 

10-15 years of experience in fixed income portfolio management or a related role within asset management or financial services.Proven track record in fixed income related role, with preferred experience in global macroeconomics and active risk-taking.Strong knowledge of risk management principles, portfolio attribution, and benchmark-aware strategies.Experience in team management and mentorship, with a collaborative approach to cross-functional relationships.
