Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Underground Contractor Supervisor to join the Goldrush Underground Operations team. The Contractor Supervisor will coordinate, coach and lead development contractor teams engaged in mining to ensure the development targets and schedules are met to ensure profitability and business development in accordance with the contract, and strategic business plan.

 Responsibilities:

Work with Technical Services and Project personnel in determining the overall strategy for the mine Support development objectives by minimizing risk and maximizing value with focus on values, cost reduction and risk management.  Ensure that all activities at the site operate within safety, security and environmental policies and regulations, to protect the assets and employees of the company and the contractors  Operational Group Leadership Mining Standards Compliance Reporting Continuous Improvement Operator Care and Custody Strategic Management Management Team Interaction Perform other duties as assigned

 Qualifications:

Degree in mine engineering or relevant experience preferred Minimum of 5 years Underground experience required 3 years’ experience in a leadership role preferred Ability to use Microsoft Office Software required Excellent communication skills—both oral and written required   Planning and organizational skills required Ability to interpret engineering plans and offer sound technical expertise with regards to mine design and ground control issues preferred  A strong working knowledge of underground mining equipment, methods, procedures, and legislative requirements preferred Sound understanding of safety and environment requirements associated with underground mining preferred
