Golf Assistant Teaching Professional

Associates of the golf operation will be required to do a variety of jobs and tasks that will vary on any given day. Member and guest service, and hospitality will be a focus point every day regardless of your daily position. Our goal is to create a golf experience that exceeds our member’s and guest’s expectations while adhering to the vision of Nemacolin.
The Assistant Teaching Professional will assist with the growth of our Junior Golf program and Golfer Bootcamps which is consistently our most booked program. This position will provide professional instruction including private golf lessons, group clinics, manage all events within the academy, and act as support for our Director of Instruction and Lead Instructor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develop, organize, and grow our junior program through; tournaments, PGA Junior League Golf, summer program, individual lessons, rules and etiquette Manage and further grow our Golfer Bootcamps Assist with the development of programming designed to attract new and existing golfers Give personal instruction when not engaged in other aspects of the golf instruction program Coach will manage all events within the academy Assist in the management of the golf academy schedule: bay rentals, lessons, school/program bookings Act as a client/member liaison assisting with program/instructor selection, equipment info, etc. Monitor launch monitors, video equipment, training aids, etc. to ensure all are up-to-date and in good working order When needed will assist with Three Day Golf Schools and other programs when deemed necessary

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Certified golf instructor (PGA or LPGA affiliation preferred) or actively pursuing PGA Membership 2-3 years of professional experience at a high-end private club or resort teaching Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational, planning, prioritization skills, and attention to detail Ability to work well within a team environment Friendly and outgoing personality Service and customer focused attitude Maintain a credible golf game and remain current on teaching innovations

Compensation and Benefits

The resort will provide a competitive compensation based on experience Year 1: Lesson commission will be set at 60%; rates and commission subject to change after year 1. Additional revenue can be driven through:
Gratuities Assisting with Golf Programs and Schools Club Sales (10% commission) Club repair/regripping Unlimited Playing & Practice Privileges Discounts on retail and activities on property Lunch provided while on duty for $2/meal Uniform provided Limited On-site housing can be available and includes on-site grocery Market, Rec Center, Pub/Restaurant, and Outdoor Pool
