**Golf Cart Technician**
**Job Description**
The Cart Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining carts that hold engine parts and other aerospace components on-site. This role involves performing preventive maintenance and repairs on various types of material handling equipment, including build stands, transport carts, manual gearboxes, Creform workstations, and part carts.
**Responsibilities**
+ Repair and tighten carts using hand tools, wrenches, and power tools.
+ Build or repair racking made of metal or plastic tubing.
+ Tighten and replace wheels.
+ Create purchase orders and submit orders for carts that need repainting or powder coating.
+ Clean, organize, and implement 5S in the test cells.
+ Order supplies using an iPad or computer from the tool crib.
+ Use a phone to call in work orders.
+ Complete paperwork as needed.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with hand and power tools.
+ 1-3 years of mechanical experience.
+ Ability to read from work instructions, blueprints, or standard operating procedures (SOPs).
+ High School Diploma (HSD) or GED required.
+ Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Ability to work in both AC'ed and non-AC'ed environments.
+ Self-motivated and capable of managing repair records and tracking maintenance needs.
+ Experience with golf cart maintenance or similar mechanical assembly, teardown, rebuild, and repair.
+ Experience in a smaller mechanic shop or with side-by-side UTVs.
+ Ability to troubleshoot low voltage electrical issues, pull and replace broken parts, or identify catastrophic breakdowns.
+ Ability and willingness to interact with customers.

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes working indoors and outdoors, with some areas not air-conditioned. The shift is from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with the possibility of moving to a 5 AM to 1:30 PM shift. There is ample opportunity for overtime on Saturdays. The role requires a lot of walking and standing, with the shop environment being potentially dirty and requiring hands-on work.
