Golf Course Maintenance Service Technician

The Landings Golf and Athletic Club is a private luxury residential club on Skidaway Island dedicated to providing members with an active lifestyle through resort-class amenities. Located 12 miles from historic Savannah, our Club offers members access to six championship golf courses, 31 tennis courts, 15 pickleball courts, eight bocce courts, ten unique dining venues, five clubhouses, five swimming pools and a 52,000 sq. ft., wellness center.

GCM Service Technician Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Lubricates and services all golf equipment. Inspects equipment for operating deficiencies. Repairs and adjusts equipment. Performs limited overhaul of engines and hydraulic valves and/or motors. Uses welder and cutting torch. Sets up and modifies new equipment as needed Removes and replaces reels, and sets height specifications. Grinds reels and bed knifes and rebuilds reels. Changes, repairs, mounts and dismounts tires. Represents the club with the utmost of professionalism. Cleans maintenance area and equipment daily. Follows safety guidelines described in the operating procedures and generally practices behavior that ensures the safety of the employee, co-workers, members, and guests. Complies with departmental grooming and uniform standards. Works variety of shifts, as needed to include nights, weekends and/or holidays. Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures. Performs all other duties as assigned.

GCM Service Technician Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

Valid driver's license to operate club vehicle.

GCM Service Technician Critical Skills:

1-3 years working knowledge and applicability of light and heavy golf course equipment and automotive apparatuses Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to a wide variety of people. Proactive problem solving skills Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions. Must be able to troubleshoot problems and the aptitude to repair equipment. Must provide exceptional service to members. 

GCM Service Technician Physical Requirements:

Stands, kneels, bends, climbs, balances, pushes and walks for 95% of the work day. Lifts from 1 pound up to 10 pounds for 90% of work day. Lifts from 1 pound up to 25 pounds for 50% of work day. Lifts and moves from 1 pound up to 50 pounds for 25% of work day. Stoops, crawls, twists, reaches and manipulates equipment and power tools to complete work assignments. Exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, loud noise levels and or airborne particles. Work outdoors in inclement weather 90% of the work day.
