Golf Maintenance Worker

Golf Maintenance Worker – Troon Golf, LLC is looking to fill FIFTEEN (15) Golf Maintenance Workers positions in St. Michaels, MD to work approximately 03/15/2025 to 10/31/2025. This is a temporary, full-time, seasonal position.

$18.54 - $27.81 per hour

[Duties]: Landscape or maintain grounds using hand or power tools and equipment. Mow, edge, trim, lay sod, water, weed, prune, rake, core aerating. Spread grass seed, fertilizer and mulch. Maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning. Clean and store all equipment.

[Requirements]: Pre-employment criminal background check and drug testing required at the expense of Employer, which is applied equally to all workers foreign and domestic. Must be able to lift up to 75lbs. Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required. Must be able to work in varying weather including hot and humid conditions outdoors. Must be able to repeat regular physical labor and continuous movement such as bending, kneeling, lifting, walking, and standing for long periods of time. Must be able to safely operate a motorized cart.

[Terms & Conditions of Employment]: Fulltime - at least 35 hours per week. Shifts available Monday – Sunday from 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM. Hours may vary depending on requirements.

Paid bi-weekly, wages calculated each workweek. Workers will be paid no less than $18.54 per hour. Overtime will be paid at 1.5 times worker’s regular hourly pay ($27.81 per hour). Employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck as required by law.

On-the-job training provided. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

[Lodging, Daily Transport, Deductions, Benefits]: Lodging is provided for $100 per week deducted from payroll and requires a $200 non-refundable deposit. Transportation is provided to and from the worksite. Employees are provided with bicycles and in the event of inclement weather will be transported via shuttle vans or personal team vehicles. Standard company benefits including 401K.

[Inbound/Outbound Transportation]: Employer will provide transportation to the worksite free of charge; however, if employee fails to complete 50% of the work contract period, employer may withhold reasonable cost of transportation from employee’s final paycheck.

If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work.

Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Subsistence will be at least $15.88 per day of travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with documentation of actual expenses. Employer will provide or pay the reasonable costs for lodging where lodging is necessary.

Employer will reimburse worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the worker.

[Three-fourths Guarantee]: The employer guarantees three-fourths of the total number of work hours of each 12-week period beginning with the first workday after arrival of the worker or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ending on the expiration of the date specified in the work contract.
