Position Summary:
Responsible for assuring exceptional, world class service for our guests. This position will help lead our Outside Service’s Team. Responsibilities include maximizing customer service, training, managing practice facilities and golf cart fleet management, opening and closing procedures, and keeping work areas neat and clean. An ideal candidate is someone looking to continue/start a career in hospitality and golf management that is ambitious and willing to take initiative to service our guests.
Essential Functions:
Lead the Outside Service Team to ensure world-class service is given to all guests dailyLead the Outside Service Team with overall upkeep of the clubhouse cart storage area and parking lot, with a focus on team and guest safetyLead the Outside Service Team with the setup and execution of golf tournamentsEnsure the Outside Service Team is maintaining the cart staging and bag drop areas in a neat and orderly fashionMust effectively communicate all pertinent information amongst his/her associates and supervisory staff regarding daily operations, and ensure all guests’ incidents of dissatisfaction are reported to the managerMust be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected; working well under pressure, showing attention to detail, and balancing multiple priorities and assignments in a timely mannerWorks closely with Leadership team to develop and uphold training practices and standardsMaintain accurate records of guests renting golf clubsAssist in managing golf cart fleet as it relates to regular maintenance and ensuring repairs are completed in a timely mannerAssist with orientation and training given to new Outside Service AssociatesAssist with Food & Beverage activities as neededPerform all opening and closing proceduresMaintain a high level of cleanliness for all areas within the department and report stock levels of guest supplies to the managerAdhere to all rules and regulations established in standard operation procedure manual for BCG/BCL/Bass Pro ShopsReport all accidents/injuries that occur on Big Cedar Lodge property through proper channels.Performs other related duties as assignedEXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or EquivalentBasic understanding of golf operations and experience in hospitality preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time, work safely, communicate effectively, understand and carry out written and oral directions, and establish good working relationships with co-workers Able to work in outside weather conditions Lift, reach, bend, twist, push, pull, squat, grasp and use arm-hand coordination on a consistent basis Be able to work weekends and holidays, mornings and evenings as business demands. Writing - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Basic Computer Skills - Using basic computer hardware and software (e.g., personal computers, word processing software, Internet browsers, etc.). Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Analytical/Critical Thinking - The ability to gather and organize information using a logical and systematic process; recognize patterns and relationships in complex data; examine data to identify implications, problems and draw appropriate conclusions; generate alternative solutions to problems; evaluate strengths, weaknesses and consequences of alternative solutions and approaches to solving problems.TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
