This 18-hole par 70 layout is 6,325 yards from the back tees and has a course rating of 70.7 and a slope rating of 129. The course features stunning views of the Treasure Valley and the mountains that surround it. Warm Springs Golf Course (https://www.warmspringsgolfcourse.com/) is a n 18-hole championship course shaded by mature trees, Warm Springs Golf Course is just minutes from downtown Boise. On the banks of the Boise River, the course features spacious fairways, well-tended greens, numerous ponds, and scenic views of the Boise Foothills. Golf Seasonal Maintenance Worker: + Performs grounds and facility maintenance at one of the city's two public golf courses, Warm Spring Golf Course or Quail Hollow Golf Course. + Open to all interested persons aged 18 and older. + Works up to 40 hours a week, typically for 8 months from March through October. + This position is designated as At-Will. . Essential Functions Maintains golf course greens and facilities. Operates irrigation equipment, sets up and mow greens, collects golf balls from driving range and sets-up golf course for daily play. Collects trash on facility grounds as needed, cleans golf carts, and supplies and cleans restrooms as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Knowledge, Experience, And Training Ability to safely operate lawn mowers and lawn care equipment; willingly perform routine manual labor; understand and follow oral and written instructions; perform physical labor, emptying trash containers weighing up to 50 pounds; work without constant supervision; work outdoors in adverse weather conditions; cordially provide information and directions to golf course patrons and the general public; interact with the public and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner; display an attitude of cooperation and work harmoniously with all levels of city employees, the general public and other organizations; communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance; complete assignments in a timely fashion; understand and comply with all rules, policies and regulations; maintain prompt and regular attendance; perform all essential and marginal functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without a reasonable accommodation. Individuals must be capable of operating vehicles safely and have an acceptable driving record. Physical Efforts While performing the duties of this job the employee is always lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds, occasionally lifting/carrying up to 35 pounds and rarely lifting/carrying up to 75 pounds. Also, the employee is frequently pushing/pulling up to 35 pounds. The noise level is frequently loud. Work includes sensory ability to talk and hear. Work in this position also includes distance vision and peripheral vision. Employees will stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach and grasp. Position requires hand/finger dexterity.Additional physical efforts include: pushing/pulling up to 35 pounds. Working Environment The work environment will include outdoor weather conditions and in wet and humid conditions. Employees will also drive a vehicle as part of this position. Work includes protected exposure to chemicals. Awareness of golfers and golf balls. This position works: Weekends, evenings and holidays as required. 19-Hour Temporary All temporary part-time employees working less than an average of 19-hours per week are not currently eligible for benefits. 4-Month Temporary All 4-month temporary employees working an average of 40-hours per week will accrue personal leave which can be used during employment. 8-Month Seasonal In addition to accruing personal leave, anyone in an 8-month seasonal position working over an average of 30-hours per week is eligible for medical coverage. 9-Month Temporary In addition to personal leave accrual and medical coverage, a position that is classified as a 9-month temporary is eligible for PERSI retirement benefits.
