Government Affairs Analyst (Federal Procurement/Technology Policy)

As Government Affairs Analyst, you will work closely with Micron’s customer-facing business units supporting strategic advocacy programs for the business globally. You will play a meaningful role in advancing Micron’s position as a world technology leader by counseling on technology policy, to include artificial intelligence, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate public policy strategies and tactics are identified, appropriate business processes are implemented, and execution is coordinated across the company! This position will report to the Senior Director, Global Policy & Business Partnership, on the Government & Public Affairs team and will be based in Washington, D.C! **Responsibilities include, but not limited to:** + Support Micron’s Business Units and implement mentorship on how policy mechanisms can be crafted to their benefit. + Work closely and build collaborative relations with Micron Business Leaders across the company’s business units to achieve business goals including the growth of an aerospace and defense business. + Craft and maintain a detailed understanding of the business units’ strategic goals and objectives around policy. + Aid Micron’s approach to government procurement and product regulation globally. + Work with counterparts in Global Communications and BU;'s to support drafting of appropriate messaging, positioning, and required disclosures. + Support counterparts in the Legal, Compliance & Ethics team, and Business Units in preparing for compliance inquiries as it pertains to the government. + Research and analyze opportunity, change, and potential risks in the legislative, regulatory, public policy and political realms. + Research, analyze and report on political and policy issues, such as AI and technology policy, and distill key messages for a diverse variety of audiences. + Present concise and business-relevant intelligence on pertinent regulatory and governmental issues. + Optimally establish relationships and interact with associates at all levels within the organization and with key constituents outside the company. + Support development, positioning and execution of Micron senior management outreach and key customer engagement to relevant policymakers, ensuring external relations are anticipatory, ongoing, and aligned. + Collaborate with BU's to ensure awareness of key constituencies, including governmental and non-governmental, organizations and opinion leaders who may have a positive or negative impact on the business. **Qualifications and Education:** + Bachelor’s degree in business, political science, engineering, or related field required + Minimum of 5 years work experience with a relevant industry, such as manufacturing or technology; previous U.S. government experience preferred. + Familiarity with government procurement processes, particularly for microelectronics, with an understanding of national politics and U.S. government processes. The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is: $86,000.00 - $146,000.00 Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
