**Responsibilities**
**What You'll Do:**
The Government Affairs Intern will support the entire PEXNA Government Affairs team on internal strategy and management of administrative tasks as well as assist with covering a range of topics with a focus on trade and technology policy.
+ Manage office administrative tasks including, but not limited to, the following:
+ schedules, logs, electronic file organization, business colleague visits, PowerPoint presentations, internal communications (newsletters and updates).
+ Coordinate with other government affairs team members on tracking, researching and reporting on domestic and international trade policy and technology policy issues impacting Panasonic and its US business units (e.g., trade, tariffs, restrictions on foreign investment, US-Japan relations, digital trade, AI, cybersecurity).
+ Help PEXNA GPA team members with collaboration between business units and outside entities including trade associations, government officials, and competing businesses.
**Program Details:**
+ The program will be a full-time paid summer internship
+ The program will be 12 weeks in length, and is planned to occur between **Monday, May 19th and Friday, August 8th**
**Program Requirement(s):**
+ Must be currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree throughout the entirety of the internship
+ Must be able to attend the entirety of the internship
**Scope**
+ Position will report directly to Group Manager, Government Affairs
+ No travel
**Qualifications**
**What You'll Bring:**
**Education and Experience**
+ Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree
+ Knowledge of and interest in government affairs, with a focus on trade and technology policy
**Competencies**
+ Work collaboratively with GPA office, PNA, and the other businesses
+ Ability to be flexible and take on assignments not directly related to portfolio
+ Ability to conduct research, gather and distill complex information, and produce reference materials
+ Cross-cultural fluency and previous experience in multi-lingual, multi-cultural work environment
**Communications**
+ Strong communication skills – particularly writing and public speaking
+ Ability to work within a complex, global company
**Other Requirements**
+ Position is hybrid, but requires 3 days in the office (Washington, DC)
+ Strong presentation skills and ability to analyze issues
+ Able to take on other duties and tasks, as assigned

_Hourly Range: $17-$38_
