Site Name: Korea - Seoul Posted Date: Jan 6 2025 Reporting Line: Rx GA Manager Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Execution of GA Initiatives Develop and execute government affairs initiatives for the General Medicine/Specialty and HIV/Oncology Business Units Work with the regional and global team with clear alignment to localize regional and global GA initiatives Work with the cross-functional teams to lead the GA initiatives Introduces legislative and public policy changes that will support company projects. Assists government affairs manager with strategic planning for known and potential regulatory activities related to the business and industry areas. Policy monitoring and Analysis Monitor and communicate healthcare-related legislation, regulations and policy changes that may impact GSK’s therapeutic areas of focus to the relevant internal stakeholders in a timely manner Create policy briefs on issue areas that can be shared at the executive leadership level. Strategic Stakeholder Engagement Build to identify, understand, and strategically engage with external stakeholders, such as government officials, policymakers, patient advocacy groups, industry associations, medical societies, public policy groups, to shape a favorable external environment to improve patients access to GSK’s medicines Develop government affairs materials, such as policy positions, policy proposals, etc., to communicate GSK’s key messages in a specific therapeutic or policy area with various stakeholders Collaborates with industry advocates to build areas of common interest Compliance and Reporting Ensure all GA activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and GSK policies Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in a related field 5+ years of experience in Government Affairs, Public Affairs, or Communications in pharmaceutical industry OR working for government agencies, chamber of commerce Understanding of public health and pharmaceutical policies and drug pricing and reimbursement systems in Korea is preferred Experience in liaising with a broad range of stakeholders, such as government, National Assembly, patient advocacy groups, industry associations, medical societies, public policy groups, etc. is preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in both Korean and English Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment Ability to engage with multiple external stakeholders Ability to adapt and be flexible, while maintaining a sense of urgency Maintain a proactive and strategic mindset, taking ownership of risks and processes for improvement and seeking creative solutions Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment *LI-GSK Why GSK?
