governmental affairs manager

Location: France, Issy Les Moulineaux

Contract: full-time, permanent

The governmental affairs manager within the External Affairs team is tasked with building an institutional and political environment favorable to therapeutic innovation for equitable and sustainable access for patients. He/she builds a strategy aligned with the priorities of the affiliate and leads the action plan implementation to strengthen the reputation of JJ IM France as a key, responsible, and legitimate healthcare actor in the long term, contributing to the improvement of the healthcare system.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

Strategy development and implementation: the government affairs manager develops a strategy on a thorough understanding of the regulatory and policy environment. This strategy aims to facilitate access to JJ IM medicines. In collaboration with internal and external teams, it identifies key issues, risks and opportunities that may impact the affiliate and adjusts the tactical plan as necessary. Analyzing risks and impacts, it contributes to short- and long-term strategic decisions.

Representation of JJ IM France: The government affairs manager acts as a representative of JJ IM France, helps to make known the issues of the company to the public. The government affairs manager participates in working groups within professional associations and aims to build a reputation as a trusted partner within legislative and executive bodies.

Strategic Intelligence and Policy Analysis: the government affairs manager monitors the evolution of health laws and policies to anticipate changes in strategy. Impact assessments are identified in coordination with internal teams and professional associations to assess the level of impact of news on the affiliate. This monitoring provides a systemic view of health issues.

Cohesion of internal teams: As a strategic partner of cross functional teams, the government affairs manager develops the external engagement plan to support market access issues. By providing a "one voice" for Janssen, the government affairs manager coordinates messages between different departments and organizes training sessions on priority topics, as well as cohesion and understanding within teams.

Regulatory Compliance: the government affairs manager ensures compliance with European and local regulations relating to his/her activities, ensuring that all contracts and commitments related to applicable standards. This compliance is essential to maintain the integrity and reputation of JJ IM France.
