DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + This position may serve as the Contract Manager for the public guardian offices and conducts monitoring of such offices to ensure incapacitated persons of limited financial means are receiving the appropriate services by a qualified decision maker. + Maintain tracking system for all reports due from public guardians. Ensure public guardian reporting requirements are met and reports are handled appropriately. Send reminders to public guardians if required reports have not been received. + Schedule and conduct program monitoring visits to public guardian offices across the state and visitation of living facilities for Wards, or conduct remote/teleconference visits, if applicable. + Assist in development of improved procedures, job aids, desk manual, monitoring tool and monitoring forms . + Create and utilize spreadsheets and database applications to produce a variety of materials including correspondence and reports. Maintain appointment calendars, schedule meetings, and make travel arrangements. Respond to telephone calls and emails. Set up and maintain office files. + Assist the Executive Director with establishing new public guardian offices, recommend methods to address the need for additional public guardian services, and evaluate current need for public guardianship. + Review and make recommendations on budget and long-range planning for OPPG. + Review budgets of public guardian programs and review expenditure requests. + Review and recommend methods of public guardianship funding. + Analyze ward demographics. Provide reporting on public guardian programs and Ward demographics as needed. + Position requires travel statewide including overnight travel. + Oversee public guardianship management database. + Provide support for public guardian programs as needed. + Maintain contact with public guardian programs regarding waitlist, current Ward services, and pending referrals. + Assist with complaints regarding public guardians. + Assist with special projects and other duties as may be required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED: + Bachelor’s degree, related work experiences my substitute. + Knowledge of or willingness to learn Florida guardianship law and procedure. + Possess strong written and oral communication skills, required for public speaking and report writing, uses correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Detail oriented and able to enter data accurately into a computerized system. Able to navigate multiple computer screens, applications, and online research engines. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Operating environments and Office Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and SharePoint.) + Ability to demonstrate a professional and courteous demeanor; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the public and staff.
