POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Government Contract Administrator to manage and oversee our organization’s government contracts. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of contracts from inception through completion, ensuring compliance with government regulations and company policies. This role involves coordinating with various internal departments, interpreting contract requirements, and maintaining accurate records.
What You'll Do Administer government contracts throughout the contract lifecycle, including initial proposal, award, execution, and closeout.Review and analyze contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with legal requirements, government regulations (such as FAR and DFARS), and company policies.Coordinate with internal teams such as finance, legal, procurement, and project management to ensure successful contract execution.Serve as the primary point of contact for government agencies and subcontractors, addressing contract-related questions and issues.Monitor contract performance, ensuring timely delivery of goods/services, compliance with contract terms, and fulfillment of reporting requirements.Prepare and submit contract modifications, change orders, and other documentation as needed.Manage contract files and maintain accurate records of all contract-related documents and correspondence.Identify potential risks in contract terms and propose solutions to mitigate those risks.Assist in audits and reviews conducted by government agencies or internal auditors.Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on government contracting procedures and compliance requirements. What You'll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or a related field.5-7 years of experience in contract administration, with a focus on government contracts.Thorough knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other applicable government contracting regulations.Strong understanding of contract law and legal terminology.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously while meeting deadlines.Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or similar certification is a plus.
