Government Insuring Specialist

Primary Function

The Government Insuring Specialist II delivers and processes Mortgage Insurance for government originated loans.  The government originations include insurance of FHA, USDA, and VA loans.  

Principal Duties

Prepares mortgage document binder for Homeownership Operation Centers Manages timeframes on sending insurance application to government agenciesHandles document deficiencies with internal branchesManages report data on outstanding loans in processRecords and tracks MIC’s receivedHandles USDA and VA Loan Note Guarantee’s Other duties as directed.

Education and Experience Requirements  

High School diploma or equivalentThree (3) years of mortgage experience or government insuringOne (1) year of government insuring experience.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements  

Knowledge of government mortgage documentsDetailed oriented able to meet deadlinesExcellent communication skillsStrong attention to detailProficient with Microsoft OfficeTeam oriented with ability to interact within and outside of the organizationAble to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines with quality in a fast-paced environment
