ResponsibilitiesThe Government Relations Internship is one discipline of IDEMIA North America’s 12-week Summer Internship Program. The intern will be an integral member of the team and will use their knowledge of state and federal government to provide research and administrative support to leaders in the Government Relations department. In this role, interns will have the opportunity to learn and assist in technology and civil identity related lobbying efforts.
A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the inner workings of state and federal government, exceptional research, organizational, communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Integrate into recurring meetingsConduct policy research on a wide array of issue areasDraft materials of policy research for Government Relations staffTrack civil identity and technology related legislationObserve and participate in corporate lobbying efforts Qualifications You are a college junior or senior majoring in Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related fieldMust be authorized to work in the USProficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPointInterest in public policy, politics, and current eventsRobust communication (written and verbal), collaboration, and problem-solving skillsDrive and eagerness to learnPreferred Qualifications:
Experience in previous government relations-related role or internshipPassion for innovative technologies and security/identity related issuesInterest in the political process, governing and public serviceImportant Dates:

Note: This is a hybrid role, you must be able to travel to the office.
