GPO Membership Services Specialist

The Membership Services Specialist is accountable for day-to-day operational activities to support the McKesson (Onmark, Unity, PACT, Pathway) GPO businesses. The individual is responsible for monthly roster creation, daily purchase review, and daily request management via Salesforce CRM. The role requires advanced Excel, SAP, and Tableau skills, intimate knowledge of our legal GPO contracts, biopharma operational processes, and internal administrative processes. The individual will work across multiple stakeholder groups (internal and external) to standardize core membership services processes and tools.

Key Responsibilities

Monthly Roster Creation

Maintain and publish rosters bi-weekly, monthly or quarterly.Utilize advanced Excel, SAP, and Tableau skills for roster creation and management.

Daily Purchase Review

Review both on and off-contract purchases daily to pass through economics to customers and capture admin fees.Requires intimate knowledge of our legal GPO contracts, biopharma operational processes, and internal administrative processes.

Daily Request Management

Manage daily requests via Salesforce CRM to address inquiries from various internal and external teams, including practices.

Enrollment of New Members or New Forms

Process approvals or rejections from Biopharma in response to declaration letters and other form submissions for new and existing members.Work with stakeholders to navigate form submissions and advise on eligibility criteria.Request forms from internal stakeholders (sales reps, optimization team, onboarding team) to help customers gain contract access in the event they purchase off contract.

Reporting and Continuous Improvement

Create and provide regular membership/manufacturer reports as required based on ad hoc requests.Help develop and implement membership services SOPs, processes, and metrics.Collaborate with the team to identify and address operational gaps (systems, people, processes).Collaborate with pharmaceutical manufacturers on issue resolution and areas of improvement.

Manage and Maintain Manufacturer Rosters

Regularly review/cleanse membership eligibility across Onmark, Unity, PACT, and/or Pathway GPOs.Communicate membership changes to internal and external stakeholders.Meet or exceed established SLAs.Be the subject matter expert/voice of the customer internally and with pharmaceutical partners to advocate for access or help direct a member to an alternative.

Proactively Conduct Contract Audits & Minimize Leakage

Focus on your Manufacturer portfolio but also engage teammates when a customer issue impacting manufactures outside of your own portfolio.Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve off-contract issues in a timely manner (SLA to add a comment to a leakage line is 5 business days).Follow-up/close the loop on transaction-level off-contract purchases.

Support New Contract Launches/Amendments

Work with GPO Business Development Directors & GPO Contracting to understand the new contract pipeline.Identify specific membership services requirements/changes to amendments of existing contracted products.Review launch checklist and ensure membership services activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner when a new product or new manufacture are added to the portfolio.Review/audit new contracts post-launch (Day 1) to ensure customers are loaded as expected.

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Critical Skills

Advanced Excel skills, including experience writing formulas using functions to conduct analysis using various data sets.Familiarity with Tableau or PowerBI to create automation or dashboards.Familiarity with databases and CRM systems (SAP and Salesforce).Familiarity with SmartSheet.Familiarity with Group Purchasing Organizations.

Possess a self-directed work style requiring minimal supervision.Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in the management of multiple deadlines and deliverables.Ability to work with other departments to ensure high quality and accuracy standards.Demonstrated ability to deliver complete, timely, and accurate reports.Strong interpersonal skills, team-oriented, and collaborative.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in de-escalation or request for assistance.Customer-first focused.Results and detail-oriented.

Salary: 69,800.00 - 93,000.00 - 116,300.00 USD Annual (Target 83K)

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
