GPS Federal Senior Pursuit Manager

Work you’ll doAs a Senior Pursuit Manager on our team you will:Have direct accountability for the following aspects of the pursuit management group operations:Provide overall strategic leadership support for identified pursuits/projectsSupport the client pursuit team, to navigate and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the pursuitWork directly with account teams in the execution of the GPS Pursuit Methodology process to drive the development of compliant and compelling proposalsManage performance of immediate team membersLead and guide proposal teams in developing a strategic approach –Act in a strategic role, from pre-RFP to oral presentation stagesAct as the central POC for the proposal develop process –Evaluate the solicitation requirementsManage a timely processWork with technical teams to develop content that is clear, effective and consistentBrainstorm solutions providing tactical advice and guidance with the ability to drive strategy and solutions that result in winning submissionsManage team members (of various specialties and at various levels of seniority) to develop responses that meet the needs of potential clientsDemonstrate the ability to bring creativity and innovation to the framing and structuring of proposalHave responsibility across multiple, concurrent projectsServe as an Orals Coach (as needed) with the following responsibilities:Orals planning, scripting, coachingFacilitate orals strategy sessionsCreate outlines for story developmentGuide teams to create emotive messagingDevelop and communicate rehearsal schedules and logisticsDetermine and produce appropriate deliverablesPrepare teams for orals delivery, Question and Answer sessionsFacilitate the orals debrief sessions, and post-orals strategyAdjust to shifting priorities, stringent deadlines, last minute requirements, and occasional evening/weekend hours to accomplish tasks within non-negotiable client deadlinesConduct post-submission proposal debriefs to determine future proposal strategies and potential process and tool changes–Interview team members on successful or unsuccessful strategies and tacticsShare results as appropriate and refining future proposal strategies and trainingContribute to the development and continuous improvement of proposal management processes, tools, and templatesDrive people and process to execute initiativesCross-train, shadow, and onboard team membersCoach and mentor Pursuit COE team membersQualifications
Required10+ years relevant work experienceExperience in Federal Government proposal management, proposal development, and in the direct management of proposal team membersExperience in leading large complex proposals for Federal agencies with values in excess of $100mDiversity of experience in large corporate organizations and small business concernsBachelor’s degree (Masters desirable) with preferred concentration in Business, English, Journalism, Marketing or Communications, or comparable work experienceExcellent communicator – both written and oralExperience leading teams in strategic discussions and increasing the probability of win (PWin)Experience in public speaking and presentationsProficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and ExcelAbility to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve. This may include overnight travel. Limited immigration sponsorship may be availablePreferred:Training in formal capture/proposal methodologiesImplementation of Industry-wide best practices in proposal managementKnowledge and understanding of Federal Government procurement regulations and practices (including FAR and DFAR)Personnel/performance management, including areas such as EEO and employment lawEditorial practice and standardsThis individual is typically responsible for:Performance management of three to five individual positionsManagement of proposal teams, both Deloitte and subcontractorPeople and Project Management:

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is $118,700 to $218,600. 
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
