GPS Global Business Development and Integration Director

Duties include leading operational planning and key operations management projects by determining timelines, deliverables, and milestones; assessing GPS office network for standardization and efficiency to develop processes and operating manuals and to identify opportunities for cross-functional teams and areas for integration; formulating business development strategy around specific lead roles at each GPS location; and developing and implementing standard operating procedures across GPS offices, including SOPs for Royal/VIP Patient Journey. Those in this position are responsible for driving business development opportunities as a part of the GPS and International Business Development Leadership Team in Global Medical Tourism; analyzing current best practices across global markets and identifying market entry points and outside organizational opportunities, including medical tourism opportunities, new referral sources, and potential partnerships; generating leads; advising all levels of staff, including senior leadership, on commercialization and business development opportunities for GPS activities; leading key projects and relationships focused on ensuring standardized and seamless patient access across the GPS network while also analyzing international patient experience data to identify areas for improvement related to service delivery; assessing current care paths and service line offerings to determine appropriate streamlined continuum of care approach for global patients based on global market analysis and patient population data, including patient volumes, competitor analyses, and country specific activity; engaging customers and stakeholders and serving as a primary liaison, as needed, to Royal/VIP Patients, as well as between potential patients/referring entities interested in accessing care from the Clinic - whether distance health or at one of our global locations - and the GPS teams, including GPS Plus/VIP programs. Other duties include: advancing the Cleveland Clinic's position in key meetings regarding international patient experience and medical tourism opportunities; coordinating local public relations activities directed to attracting and serving global patients traveling to Cleveland Clinic for treatment; creating and executing the business plan for a centralized global call center and welcome centers for international patients; providing support in physical and flow design of GPS London; and, in partnership and under the direction of the Philanthropy team, serving as a primary liaison between Philanthropy and international patients, including VIP/Royal Patients, in identifying potential donors and facilitating introductions. Hybrid weekly work schedule - combination of on-site and remote work within State of Ohio. Requirements: At a minimum, the position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field or foreign equivalent as evidenced by a credentials evaluation and eight (8) years of international healthcare and management experience. Experience must include strategic and operational planning and implementation, market research (patient volumes, competitor analyses, and country specific activity), international healthcare strategy (development of patient services, service delivery, and medical tourism), and business development (including market entry, lead generation, and customer/stakeholder engagement).
