Job Title: Grading Design Specialist
Job Description

Prepares preliminary and final maps, plans, drawings, exhibits, and digital data files using appropriate CAD drafting programs. The complexity of production will vary depending on the skill level of the designer/operator.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed grading plans and specifications to ensure proper drainage, slope stability, and site accessibility.Perform calculations to balance earthwork and minimize costs.Implement erosion and sediment control measures to protect the site during and after construction.Prepare engineering maps and drawings for streets, sewers, water, and storm drains using basic design and engineering principles.Make updates to drawings and CAD files as directed by project engineers and/or land development team management.Responsible for daily backup of CAD drawings.Work with standard CAD specifications, formats, and base files required by various private firms and government agencies.Enlarge or reduce drawings to fit specific scales.Prepare drawings to meet Agency and/or company graphic standards.Maintain CAD files and database for the land development group according to company CAD standards.Essential SkillsAssociate's Degree in CAD Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.3-5 years of experience in CAD drafting, preferably in civil engineering.Knowledge of CAD design and engineering terms and procedures.Proficiency in Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office products.Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations.Good written and verbal communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills for teamwork.Experience in civil land development, hydrology, storm drains, and sewers.Additional Skills & QualificationsEnhance CAD skills and support other CAD users.Perform other related duties as needed.Work Environment

The role will be performed in an office setting with a team size of 3-4 members. The dress code is professional, with a typical start time between 7 am and 8 am. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00
