The Graduate Admissions Coordinator provides support to the Assistant Dean for Graduate Admissions, including but not limited to the following:
Assist with the scheduling of meetings, appointments and information sessions for the LL.M. program.
Assist with logistics for meetings and appointments such as room reservations, travel arrangements, and assembling of materials for the LL.M. program.
Coordinate and schedule interviews of LL.M. applicants.
Coordinate admissions packages for admitted students, including ordering supplies, packaging, and mailing.
Assist the Assistant Dean with prioritizing and scheduling time for major projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and deadlines.
Manage timelines and correspondence for various LL.M. scholarship and degree partnerships with outside entities, including assisting with paperwork and processes for creation of new partnerships.
Assist with email traffic as needed, performing other duties as assigned.
Work Interactions
The Graduate Admissions Coordinator helps to ensure efficiency and consistency in the administration of the complex Graduate Admissions process, with the aim of attracting more applicants and admitted students to Georgetown. The position supports the Assistant Dean and other members of the LL.M. team to ensure timeliness, organization, and coordination throughout the admissions cycle. This position reports directly to the Manager of Admissions Operations and indirectly to the Assistant Dean for Graduate Admissions. The position will also interact with colleagues in other offices at the Law Center to ensure that recruiting for graduate programs is consistent and coordinated.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
At least two years of experience in an administrative support role
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks
Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise good judgment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Work Mode Designation
This position has been designated as Hybrid. This is a part-time (50%), 12-month. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$19.20 - $28.70Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
