Job Description

We are seeking a Graduate Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform specific and limited portions of assignments using prescribed methods, working under general supervision. This role involves routine architectural assignments and may include higher-level work for training and development purposes. You will support various project phases from pre-design through construction administration, working on a broad portfolio of projects including healthcare, data centers, auto showrooms, SCIFFs, and finance/banking.

ResponsibilitiesAssist with pre-design tasks such as field measuring, CAD input of existing conditions, ADA surveys, programming, and BOMA studies.Contribute to schematic design by producing and designing plans, elevations, and sections, attending client/user design meetings, and creating renderings and models.Support design development through product and material research, production and design of plans, elevations, and sections, and documenting meeting minutes.Participate in the creation of construction documents by producing and designing plans, elevations, and sections, and documenting meeting minutes.Research permitting requirements, assemble and submit permit documents, and track permits through the process.Assist in the bidding process by distributing contract documents and responding to RFIs.Support construction administration by assisting with pre-construction meetings, RFIs, submittals, ASIs, applications for payments, final punch lists, and writing meeting minutes.Essential Skills3-5 years of experience in design and construction documentation.Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and AutoCAD.Ability to undertake design layouts and features, including researching, compiling, and recording information for assigned project work.Strong communication and presentation skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsNon-registered graduate or licensed architect with diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices.Experience with advanced techniques and modification/extension of architectural theories and practices.Work Environment

Our office is located a couple of blocks from the inner harbor in a recently updated building. We offer paid parking. With a team of 20 employees, we have an open office environment where everyone wears multiple hats. While the office is typically in-person, accommodations can be made for legitimate reasons requiring remote work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.88 - $31.25/hr.
