Graduate Assistant in the Nursing Department **University of Dubuque** 1 Positions ID: VVRzNXEvdHRlN3ZnYVUr Posted On 02/20/2025 **Job Overview** The University of Dubuque is a growing faith based University that is seeking a **Graduate Assistant in the Nursing Department** for the 2025-2026 term, with a potential renewal for 2026-2027. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Coordinate, with Department Head, on social media posts + Develop a departmental newsletter each semester, including photos, and brief news items + Plan special events with the Department Administrative Assistant + Participate in recruitment and marketing initiatives as directed and in coordination with University Relations + Assist with literature reviews or with the examination of supporting documents and materials + Assist with inputting data, managing resources, creating products, and drafting reports + Assist Administrative Assistant and nursing faculty as requested with day-to-day tasks + Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University and Nursing Department _Mission_ **Requirements:** + Bachelor's degree is required and the position is conditional based on acceptance into University of Dubuque Masters' program + High level of organization and attention to detail + Utilize excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and interpersonal + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience with graphic design is a plus + Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple ongoing projects at a given time All graduate tuition is waived for the student for the term in which they serve as a GA. In return for a waiver of tuition, the assistantship recipient agrees to provide service to the University equivalent to twenty (20) hours per week. Additionally, this position has the ability to receive campus housing and a meal plan or hourly compensation for duties/hours in addition to the required twenty (20) hours per week.
