JOB SUMMARY:The Office of the Provost seeks a part-time Graduate Assistant (GA) to support the work of the Assistant Provost for Budget, Administration and Planning. The GA will provide support conducting research, assisting with data collection and management, and providing overall support to the office. This is a part-time 25-hour per week, 10-month position. The Office of the Provost provides leadership and administration for the College’s academic programs and faculty excellence in teaching, service, and scholarship, and oversees academic assessment, policies, and operations.
Compensation:
$10,000 Annual Stipend (based on 10 months)
$8,000 Tuition remission per academic year ($4,000 per semester) Examples of Duties
Specific Duties
? Utilize advanced skills in Excel and Google Suite to perform data management tasks to
ensure records are up to date, accurate, and effectively supports the goals of the Office
of the Provost.
? Maintaining overall organization of digital files to ensure information is clear and easily
accessible to stakeholders.
? Coordinate workflows to ensure efficient collection of information to produce reports.
? Assist in the development of data tracking tools including spreadsheets, reports, and/or
databases to meet a variety of needs.
? Proactively anticipate future needs and take initiative to complete tasks not directly
assigned, demonstrating the ability to think ahead and prioritize workload effectively.
? Contribute to the general functioning of the Office of the Provost.
? Other duties as assigned.
Core Competencies/Qualifications
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a Graduate Degree Program
? Demonstrated experience managing data, data sets, databases etc. required
? Proficient with Excel, Word and Google Apps.
? Demonstrated ability to analyze data and present conclusions clearly.
? Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.
? Experience in a higher education setting is a plus.
? Ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate day-to-day projects and assignments with
exceptional attention to detail.
? Ability to follow-up as needed and take responsibility for completing assignments.
? Reliable and prompt.
