Description
This individual will be out in the field monitoring various construction projects across the state of South Dakota. Primarily these projects will be for SDDOT.
Managed SDDOT, county, and city transportation construction projects.
Conduct professional meetings including pre-construction, public information, and weekly construction meetings.
Perform civil engineering calculations; prepare engineering plans, designs & reports, and construction oversight including inspection when needed.
Serve as a liaison with clients, government and regulatory authorities, and contractors.
Deliver project documents within prescribed budgetary and time constraints while satisfying client requirements.
Develop and enhance client relationships and business growth.
Prioritize overall project management and ensure successful project delivery.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring of project team members including other engineers and technical support staff.
Assist with the functional and detailed design of transportation and municipal infrastructure projects when in the office.
Contract administration of municipal projects.
Other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
2-year or 4-year degrees in Civil Engineering or similar disciplines
This person must be very detail-oriented and organized, as the position requires a lot of documentation and observation.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $38.00
