About Marketing & Communications Working in an innovative and energetic marketing and communications team no two days are the same. You’ll have hands-on experience in the wide number of roles that exist within our marketing and communications function, from Internal Communications and Media Relations to Campaigns, Insights, Brand and Events. During your placement, you may choose to spend more time in one or two areas that particularly interest you, to further develop and hone your skills, knowledge and understanding. This role will help you gain industry experience, build your network and equip you with knowledge for your marketing & communications career at Aon Hands-on experience working within a cross-functional marketing and communications team Work on marketing and communications projects to help build brand awareness, generate new business leads, nurture existing clients and help Aon achieve its growth targets earn skills in teamwork and aligning marketing to the needs of sales and the business Collaborate with marketing and communications colleagues on a global platform What your day could look like: Working with a Campaign Activation Manager to brief Aon’s digital agency on a demand program which includes paid LinkedIn, Facebook, Google Search and content syndication Meeting with business stakeholders to understand growth priorities and any new solutions/products that are in planning Playing an active part in delivering an Aon events attended by clients and prospects Working with a Campaign Planning Manager to plan a marketing campaign aimed at particular buyer and map the customer journey Communicating to our Ukrainian colleagues to help them feel more relevant, connected, and valued Working alongside our Media Relations team and PR agencies to develop press releases and field media enquiries How this opportunity is different Our graduates experience the full lifecycle of our business — from trading risk in the market and understanding the importance of claims through to winning new business. You’ll build relationships with a broad spectrum of people — including clients, our own industry specialists and members of the global insurance and reinsurance markets. You’ll gain exposure to both technical and client-facing roles — this will help you to understand the specialist advice our clients rely on, and how we share it with them. We offer the opportunity to work with a variety of roles Motor or Property insurance broking, property claims handing, client management and specialist project roles in marketing, site management, etc. Start date – ASAP Your Development As a new employee you will be invited to an initial induction on day one and to some initial role related training within a few weeks of your start date. As an Aon Graduate, you will be enrolled onto our 10-month Launch Programme, which starts in Sept 2025. This development programme is built around three core elements: Business learning – on the job learning and experiences giving you the opportunity to develop your knowledge and understanding of the team and solution line you have joined. Technical training – we will guild you on the basic principles of our industry via some initial training on what we do and how we do it. Centralised learning - graduates complete in an Aon Induction, monthly webinars, business skills training and workshops; all designed to help you develop your knowledge of Aon, build your confidence and your network across our business. Skills and experience that will lead to success Proficiency in MS Office, mainly advanced PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel and skills, to effectively analyse data and provide visual representation of the results High attention to details, accuracy and time management – we often work on simultaneous projects at once Team working abilities – to efficiently collaborate with and support colleagues in time of need Ability to write engaging, and sometimes technical, content Experience working on and overseeing marketing campaigns Able to draw out themes and ideas from the business that will help to drive content themes, interest and approach Keen to explore innovative approaches to marketing content creation and delivery Knowledge of content management systems and online Aptitude with social media Preference for undergraduates the in Marketing, Finance, Management, Economics, Insurance, Engineering, Banking and/or Marketing subject areas, but we will consider students of any subject area. (We will also consider candidates where their studies in Ukraine were interrupted.) Fluent/Native in Ukrainian and understanding go Ukrainian culture Business English – ideally C1 (‘Proficient User’) Level of CEFR. Working knowledge of Polish Ability to be initially based in Warsaw, Poland, and, when safe to do so, in our Kiev office in Ukraine. Applications from displaced Ukrainian nationals are welcomed.
