Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._ **Responsibilities:** GENERAL PURPOSE: Responsible for graduate and/or undergraduate academic administrative matters such as registration, class schedules, course catalog, department brochures, and grades reporting. Monitors the progress of students toward degree completion, and performs related administrative, advisory, and editorial duties. Coordinates activities related to attracting prospective students. May manage the department admission process, informing students of and overseeing department registration procedures. Keeps accurate and complete student records and ensures students complete college requirements. Processes student financial appointments. Assists with student life issues, counseling and/or referring students as appropriate. Oversees special events and/or serve on departmental academic committees. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** + Advises undergraduate and graduate students in academic program planning. Monitor progress toward degree completion and identifies students not meeting program requirements. Directs the online declaration process. Develops added value support for students. Administers grants for students. Maintains interpersonal relationships with students, faculty, staff, and alumni. + Helps develop program strategy. Maintains department admissions. Monitors student progress, success, and needs. Provides guidance on research, internships, jobs, and other post-graduate plans. Communicates and monitors student progress, success, advising, and registration needs to a variety of parties. Organizes and executes orientations and departmental ceremonies. + Maintains department website and develops marketing content. Manages public calendar. Assists in event planning and logistics. Hires office support and teaching assistants. Oversees office operations. Coordinates faculty and administrative meetings. Makes recommendations for changes in operations or business practices. + Assists in department financial operations. Processes routines supplies purchase, reimbursements, and monthly transactions. Coordinates with others to ensure financial accountability.
