Posting Number NONAC3482 Job Title Graduate Research Assistant Position Title Graduate Research Assistant Position Type Student Employee Number of vacancies 2 Salary $20-$22/hr Department Comm Hlth/Prev Med-Ch/Pm Position Summary Morehouse School of Medicine Cancer Health Equity Institute seeks a part-time, Master’s level, Graduate Research Assistant to support activities associated with community-based participatory research and advocacy.
Duties will include but not be limited to: recruiting and screening research subjects for various studies, literature reviews; assisting with community advisory board; instrument development (observational protocols; interview guides; quantitative surveys); qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis; collaborating with the project team (community-based organizations; community health workers; and community residents); establishing and coordinating IRB documents for submission; and dissemination activities (manuscripts, conference abstracts, white paper, policy briefs, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in medical or social science from a regionally accredited institution.
Experience: Must have completed course work
Preferred Qualifications Education: Master’s degree in Public Health or an active MPH student.

Job Duties Description of Job Duty SKILLS/ABILITIES: Advanced knowledge and skills related to qualitative and quantitative research methods and their application to data collection, analysis and interpretation including: Experience conducting qualitative research (interviews, focus groups, etc.) Experience developing quantitative surveys Experience using qualitative (e.g., NVivo; Atlas.ti) and quantitative (e.g., SPSS, SAS) software programs. Experience conducting literature reviews, and dissemination activities, including manuscripts, conference abstracts, and other knowledge translation products. Professional and effective oral and written communication skills; and good interpersonal skills. Strong organization and independence skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines. Must demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy, time management skills, and follow-through. Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality. Effective problem-solving skills; must demonstrate excellent analytical skills, sound judgment and good decision-making. Experience with e-mail, Internet and all web-based applications.

Immunization Immunization Requirements It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment.
