Position Overview
As a Graduate Site Engineer at Aecon International, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals to streamline project costs and mitigate risks, all while maintaining high standards of quality and adhering to building regulations.
What You Will Do Here
Assist more senior engineers in carrying out technical tasks requiring accuracy in calculations, completeness of data and adherence to prescribed testing, analysis, design or computation methods. Assist in Designs, procurement, scheduling, production, transporting, installation, testing and commissioning of complex equipment. Assist in controls expenditures on projects. Help Prepares and updates engineering control documents. Assist with the bids and proposal for new work. Participate in basic layout and field engineering activities Maintain field logs Interpret design/drawings for sub-trades installing material and equipment. Present design discrepancies to design consultants for resolution, prepare documentation, field design change requests, etc., as required. Help prepare and disseminate all required documentation records such as punch lists describing work items to be done, sketches of work already completed, material requirement calculations, etc. Verify that all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings and specifications. Help Prepare “as built” drawings as required. Support the site superintendent as required. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
What You Bring to the Team
Bachelor's degree in civil or building engineering Degree with 2:2 or higher is preferred Hold of full Driver’s License is preferred Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) skills Strong Interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team Organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task/ Service orientated Thrive on a fast paced-environment
