It’s an exciting time here at XPO Logistics as we continue our sustained and continuous growth and expand into new sectors. As a result of this, we are for the first time looking for a graduate to join our Solutions Design team.  

However, as you’re reading this, I bet you’re thinking, ‘What on earth is Solutions Design?’ So let’s start by telling you a little bit about this specialised area within the wider world of Logistics….. 

Solution Design is all about crafting tailored operational solutions for warehouse and transport operations.  As a Solution Designer, you bridge the gap between what our customer’s requirements are and the resources we need to fulfil the customers’ requirements, whether that’s drivers, forklift operators, robots, automation, vehicles, warehouse space, IT equipment or anything else!  You’ll be analysing data, mapping processes and modelling data using both in-house and third-party software (don’t worry, we’ll provide any training on these tools as well) to understand the resources we need and then turning this into costed budgets. 

You’ll collaborate with other solution design managers, operational experts and other internal and external stakeholders to create innovative, efficient, and cost-effective solutions. The role demands strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and an ability to understand business processes and emerging technologies.
